When I first saw the Chartwell House and met Alex and Sonia at their Open House last June, I was immediately drawn to it.  After having disappoints with another local daycare, I knew what to look for and Chartwell House is striving to give the children the highest quality care and experience.  I personally appreciate their extra effort to create a "green" friendly enviroment for the kids.  The teachers in the Toddler room are fantastic and I know that my daughter will really beenfit from the great staff, the fantastic location and the quality programming that the Chartwell House is delivering.

Our kids adore Chartwell House!  Eliza is enrolled full-time, while Zachary attends the after-school program.  The activities they’re involved in are innovative, fun and educational.  Many I’ve been meaning to do with them but never quite seem to find the time to do!  My kids have cooked, baked, kneaded dough, learned about growing plants and vegetables and enjoyed countless fun crafts.  The kids also take leisurely walks in the neighbourhood and will soon have the benefit of an indoor gym!   Alex Davis has assembled an exceptional team and outfitted the school with the latest educational toys.  She and her staff prepare nutrious, varied meals and snacks daily and offer interactive and tactile activities for the children to enjoy.  The kids spend as much time as weather permits playing outside in the beautiful fenced yard.  The yard is stocked with lots of fun stuff like pedal cars, outdoor games and a sand play station. The staff at Chartwell House are creative, kind and caring.  I appreciate the time they take each day to write in our parent book to report on our kids’ days.  I plan to save our book for the kids.  One day I think they’ll enjoy reading a daily record of their activities.  I admire Alex’s vision in creating such a warm, comfortable and happy environment for children.  She has created a learning and playing environment that truly emphasizes green values and the joy of discovery.  I would be happy to talk to anyone who is considering Chartwell House.  We have tried home care and daycare. I don’t think of Chartwell House as a daycare; it is more like a pre-school.  It is the very best care we have found for our kids and we highly recommend it.

Every parent stresses about the care that they leave their child in, and even more so when they decide to move their child from a place that they know and feel comfortable with to an unknown!  Our decision to register at The Chartwell House was full of anxiety-and happily we have been thrilled with the result.  There are so many elements of the school we love as a family-from the beautiful grassed outdoor surroundings, to the fantastic healthy and delicious food (which is "better than Mummy's food"), to the exceptional scholastic program, to the conscientious environmental program, to the loving and caring teachers, to the journaling everyday about simple moments in the day, and mostly to the family feel and genuine interest in making everyday a special day for Nathaniel.
