SPRING is here! We are so excited, we wet our plants!
It may still feel like Winter, but Spring is in the air – the birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and the temperatures are no longer in the freezing zone…just lingering too long in the cold zone. But we are a season closer to Summer and that is alllllright!
With Spring in the air, the classrooms of the House have been inspired as you will see the fresh art blooming on the walls.
We will start in the Toddler Two classroom where they stopped to smell, and paint the flowers…
They talked about Spring time, textures, and learnt all about patterns.
And to join in on the painting, was the Toddler One classroom where they too worked away on their Spring inspired art.
From the Toddler district to the Preschool classroom we go…where they brainstormed together to come up with all things related to Spring.
They also worked together to come up with words that begin with the letter of the week.
The Preschool class also got a head start on the art for Easter, which is just a hop around the corner!
And last but not least we will talk about the Kinder classroom where they have been working hard in their workbooks – practicing how to trace their name, and then attempting to write their name all by themselves. A classroom goal is to have each one of them write their name before the end of the summer! The Kinder class were also busy reading….they are on a mission to read 100 books as a class! They are participating in ClassroomCare, a reading program that empowers students to read and make a difference. When they read the 100 books, Scholastic Reading Club will donate 100 books to kids who need them! The donation will be made in honour of the Kinder class. We are excited to complete this mission and pay it forward together!
And when The House wasn’t painting, smelling flowers, or reading away….they were busy singing with Suzie and Rachelle, balancing with Monkeynastix, breaking boards with Karate, stretching with Yoga, and speaking French with Madame S.
And French with Madame S…which was all about Easter!
And me…I am all about the weekend right now! The sun is shining and it’s FRIDAY!
From me to you — Have a wonderful weekend!
